I just finished the the 6-week cutting program. I started at 234.6lbs/25% bodyfat on the Bod Pod. Abdominal circumference at the navel began at 111.3cm. Now I’m down to 223.4lbs, and 106.3cm at the bellybutton. I used this program as a transition from a strength phase consisting of heavy singles and 5×5 @ 80%. This was a great transition both physically and mentally due to the fact that it’s more of a bodybuilding workout where the stress is on the muscle tissues rather than the joints and CNS. I had a lot of small aches and pains that healed during this time due to all the blood flow from the insane pumps I’d get on the program. The intensity is very high, so you need to really bring it if you’re going to do this, especially on lower body days. If your GPP is in the dumps like mine was, the first few weeks are going to be truly special. The real beauty of this program is its brevity. 6 weeks is the perfect length of time to get your conditioning together & cut some fat without losing too much strength. I plan on alternating between this program, and a 12 week conjugate style strength block (while lean bulking) until I’m down to 12-15% bodyfat.
