DWAYNE PETERSON

Bio:

Dwayne Peterson is a professional strength and conditioning coach with over a decade of experience developing elite baseball athletes across Major League organizations, NCAA programs, and private performance facilities. He currently serves as the Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for the San Diego Padres, where he oversees performance programming for 140+ professional players across levels ranging from Triple-A to the Dominican Summer League, while leading and developing a high-performance staff of ten strength and conditioning coaches.

Previously, Dwayne served as the Rehab Strength and Conditioning Coach for the San Diego Padres, designing and executing comprehensive return-to-play programs for Major and Minor League players within the organization. He has also held AAA Strength and Conditioning Coach roles with the San Francisco Giants, Kansas City Royals, and Houston Astros, working directly with affiliate clubs including the Sacramento Rivercats, Omaha Storm Chasers, and Round Rock Express.

Earlier in his career, Dwayne oversaw individualized lifting programs for 35 professional athletes across five MLB organizations in the Arizona Fall League with the Mesa Solar Sox, served as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Mount St. Joseph University (NCAA Division III baseball), and designed multi-sport performance programs at Proforce Sports Performance for professional, collegiate, and high school athletes.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, an MBA, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Exercise Science. Dwayne maintains top industry credentials including CSCS and RSCC certifications, has published research articles on baseball performance training, and has been recognized with Houston Astros Strength Coach of the Year honors and participation in multiple MLB championship seasons.
